How does a consolidation company work?
We take a number of small shipments on one truck to a specific area of the country. Filling a truck with many different shipments is what allows us to offer the most economical price.

Is MicroShip bonded, licensed, and insured?
Absolutely! It is a law that any moving company going outside the state lines must be fully bonded, licensed, and insured. We will provide a certificate of insurance by fax upon request.

Is there a minimum weight requirement?
MicroShip does not have a minimum weight requirement for shipments, which is one of the major differences between us and the larger van lines. We will take as little at one piece of furniture and we won't charge you for a whole truck load!

What type of coverage is offered for lost or damaged items?
Included in the price quoted to you is Transit Protection of $.60 per pound per article on anything that is lost or damaged. If you would like more coverage than that, you can declare the value of your entire shipment. It will cost $35 for the first $1,000 of Declared Value and $25 for each additional $1,000. For example, if your bedroom set is worth $3,000 and you want full coverage for it, it would cost $85 for $3,000 worth of coverage.

Is packing included?
All furniture will be blanket wrapped and shrink wrapped at no cost to you. If you have items such at china, mirrors, lamps, etc., we will pack items like that for you for an additional fee. If an entire household full of items like this will be packed for you, an hourly labor fee of $55/hour per man plus the cost of materials will be assessed.
